A couple good friends got married in Laguna Beach over the weekend so we of course made the trip out-and I’m so glad we did. The wedding was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It was at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel. The views from that place are breathtaking. I mean, seriously, look at this…
Even the fitness center was incredible. Who wouldn’t want to work out here?!
The wedding rehearsal dinner was at Pelican Hill Golf Resort-another amazing venue. Unfortunately, I was too preoccupied with the drinks (see below), and didn’t take too many pics. But, y’all will remember the Kora Rae skirt I’m wearing. Told ya it was perfect for work OR play!
It was a bit cloudy in Laguna this weekend, but I did take a few hours to lay by the pool before the wedding. I mixed and matched my favorite Mikoh top with the cutest (and cheapest!) pair of bottoms that I got at H&M last year. Of course I still needed my Ray Ban sunnies, Michael Kors watch, and Kendra Scott earrings to complete the look. Yeah, yeah I know what you’re thinking-who wears jewelry to lay out?! And to that I say: LOOK GOOD, FEEL GOOD. Plus, it was a little too chilly to get in the water.
The wedding was black tie, so I wore this to-die-for Jay Godfrey Fearless Midnight Gown. I accessorized with a delicate gold and diamond bracelet and necklace from Tiffany’s, these awesome ear crawlers from BaubleBar, and my favorite Calvin Klein Collection clutch (stay that 10x fast) that LUPITA NYONG’O has also rocked on more than one occasion. And to finish off the look, I opted for nude strappy shoes, similar to this Stuart Weitzman pair. I truly felt like a movie star. If it was acceptable to wear this to work, I’d definitely do it. On that note, if anyone knows of a law firm with a flexible dress-code, holler at your girl! 😉
p.s. the bathroom selfie is from our room at the Ritz and I’m still dreaming of those marbled bathrooms.
TG it’s already hump day because I’m ready for another weekend. How ’bout you guys?!
