Patterned Pencil Skirt

Today’s blog post is full of love.  Why?  Because of this outfit, duh.

I am head-over-heels in love with this Mara Hoffman patterned pencil skirt from Anthropologie.  The print obviously got my attention, but once I put it on I never wanted to take it off!  It has a little stretch, which makes it so comfortable.  And I have to admit, I was a little hesitant because it’s longer than I generally like to wear my skirts (if you’re over 5’2″ you probably won’t have this issue), but it is actually very flattering.  The print itself is also inherently flattering.  And prints are a great way to add some of your personality into your work wardrobe, while still dressing appropriately.  This is one of those skirts that I could wear all. the. time.  And I plan to–so follow me on Insta/Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest to see how I do it.

I am equally obsessed with this ribbed “90s” top from Topshop.  Oh, and guess what–it’s actually a crop top! (Yes! I’ve figured out a way to wear a crop top to work!)  AND it also comes in camel, yellow, and red.  It’s so versatile and would look just as great with some high waisted shorts as it does with this wonderful skirt.  I’m a huge fan.

My black pumps are also seen here.  And of course I’m wearing my always stylish Kate Spade watch and Kendra Scott cuff, both seen here.   Hope you have a relaxing Sunday and a great work week!  Xo, AL
