Picking out what to wear for engagement pictures can be daunting. These pictures will be around forever, it’s your first impression for wedding guests, and you want to look good! I knew I wanted to do two different outfits so we’d have plenty of options for pictures. I had an idea of what I wanted for the first outfit, but the second outfit was much more difficult.
This white dress was an easy choice – one of my favorite designers is Self Portrait. I absolutely love the delicate feminine lace detailing so I knew I had to pick a Self Portrait dress. When I saw this one, I was immediately sold. The 3D floral applique is exquisite and I felt like a bridal princess when I tried the dress on. I didn’t want to distract from the incredible detail in the dress, so I stuck to very simple nude heels and a few pieces of jewelry from Pratiksha Jewelry (borrowed) to make it pop. BTW – Pratiksha is so cool and you MUST go check it out. It’s my friend Tisha’s line and she’s got quite the eye for jewelry. She helped me pick out the pieces to wear for our engagement shoot and I almost cried when I had to return them (lol). The line has different styles named after women so you can also go on the website and do a little style quiz to find out which girl you are and which jewelry collection fits you best. I’m in love, love, love with the blue topaz drop earrings I wore with this white dress. It was the perfect pop of color.
The second outfit, like I said, was harder to choose. Come back tomorrow to see how I finally made a decision and how I picked out Andrew’s outfit with the help of my amazing photographer‘s stylist. In the meantime, you can check out a few more pics and shop this outfit below. Xo, AL
